Hot Cross Bun Jaffles With Bacon: A Sinful Easter Treat Worth Praying Over

Hot Cross Bun Jaffles is a sinful combo of two South African delicacies. Add some bacon to the mix and say a little prayer before you tuck into a deluxe Hot Cross Bun Jaffel oozing with cheese.

As iconic as Durban Poison and Nandos, Jaffles has been filling the tummies of many South African citizens before your Ouma’s Ouma was born. Be it high or stone-cold-sober, Jaffles seem to hit the spot every single time they present themselves on the rare occasion.

Outselling the pancake table at the church bazaar back in the 90s, Jaffles has gone from humble to gourmet over the years. Food bloggers and home cooks have shared some really delicious and seriously ridiculous fillings for Jaffles.

Hot Cross Bun Jaffles is by far one of the most unique versions of the cast-iron toastie floating around on the foodiesphere. Sinful or not, say a little prayer for the genius who created jaffels that taste like hot buns.
